Cometh the season ……cometh the GlenDronach?  I think what I’m trying to say is that Christmas time & a proper GD is a match made in heaven.

No self respecting whisky afficionado should need any convincing to enter this competition. No, its not an infamous 1993 vintage, but this is a single cask specially chosen by the proprietors of the esteemed Royal Mile Whiskies & The Bramble bar in Edinburgh (the first and only Scottish bar on the coveted World’s Best 50 Bars list).

Cask Number 27 was filled in 2004 & was selected from a tasting of 12 different single cask samples. After spending 12 years in a PX sherry puncheon, the result is a rich, meaty sherry cask dram, but one that still has balance.
