About This Competition
First released in 2020, the Arran 25 was the oldest core range bottle from the distillery using maturing stocks from the very earliest maturing stocks. It has been matured in 65% bourbon and 35% sherry casks, re-racked into first-fill and refill Sherry hogsheads for the final year of maturation.
Reviewers generally praise the 25 as being in “a class of its own” and a “masterpiece” for its complexity and rich flavour profile. Its balance and depth are frequently highlighted. Only 3000 bottles are released every year . You’d be right in thinking that’s not very limited in numbers HOWEVER Arran dropped some game changing news last year – The Arran 25 (along with the 18 yr old) is scheduled to be discontinued ! The 2025 release will be the final edition for the foreseeable future. Worth stocking up whether youre a drinker or collector.
