About This Competition
Its our annual 4th of July competition –Â More libation focused & a bit less MAGA this year ! Whether you’re a bourbon lover or a whiskey novice our Americana trio features 3 of the best outputs from the state of Kentucky.
Leading the charge is the latest batch of Stagg Jr -the younger sibling of the much-revered George T. Stagg bourbon. Made from Buffalo Trace’s classic Mash Bill #1 this whiskey is known for its bold flavor profile and barrel-proof intensity.
Next up the Weller Antique 107, crafted with wheat instead of rye in the mash bill, resulting in a softer, smoother profile. Its a favorite among collectors, connoisseurs, and those seeking premium bourbon experiences.
Last but not least, we have the pioneering Star Hill Farm whisky by Makers Mark. Instead of being a bourbon with its reliance on corn, Star Hill Farm is a wheat whisky crafted from wheat-forward mash bills that allow the grain itself to take center stage, delivering flavors and textures rarely found in traditional bourbon. The result is a whisky that is richer in grain character, more nuanced in texture, and remarkably expressive.
