Out of a list of 40 choices, the latest Macallan garnered the most votes despite being one of our prizes only a few weeks back. So here you are malt mates !

Macallan’s latest release marks the launch of a brand new series – The Harmony Collection. The first bottle in this series is the Rich Cacao – so called for bringing together chocolate & whisky.

To produce this unique experience, master distiller Polly Logan took inspiration from renowned Michelin starred pastry chef Jordi Roca to brings the worlds of chocolate and whisky to life.  She explored The Macallan’s maturing casks to seek out whisky with rare indulgent chocolate notes that would harmoniously pair with fine chocolates for a rich and unique tasting experience.

Excellent marketing as always by Macallan, but this one is actually supposed to taste good as well! Or so I’m told. Of course, if you have no interest in opening it, one can expect this bottle to become increasingly valuable with each subsequent release in the series.
