About This Competition
Each year at Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival, Tamdhu announces a limited edition Dalbeallie Dram in honour of the Dalbeallie train station which sits alongside the river Spey and the distillery. Since its completion in 1899 until its closure in the 1960s, the station played a pivotal role in bringing Tamdhu’s precious sherry oak casks from Spain to Speyside.
On the nose, Dalbeallie VII gives vanilla, hints of clove, raspberry jam, shavings of dark chocolate and orange peel. To taste, demerara sugar, toffee, shortbread, baked fig and dark berries. To finish the Dalbeallie VII is warming with long sherry notes, gentle spice and lingering fruit.
Only 1000 individually numbered bottles exist.
