You asked for it, so here it is. One of our most lucrative bottles up for grabs – the stalwart that is the Macallan 18 sherry oak. An annual expression ever since Macallan shifted focus to exclusively single malt releases way back in 1984. It’s no wonder that the 18 is a favorite of vertical collectors.

These whiskies have been matured solely in Sherry barrels for the entire 18 years of its maturation, unlike most whiskies that are only ‘finished’ in Sherry barrels for a few months or a couple of years. Over 18 years of maturation lends the whisky an immense smoothness, with no compromise on quality at all. The richness and intense aromas courtesy of the Oloroso Sherry make it an incredibly flavourful and aromatic drink.

Unsurprisingly the price of the 18 keeps going up each year. RRP for the 2021 edition was £295, but good luck trying to find one!

Here’s the kicker – if we manage to sell 150 tickets the prize will be UPGRADED to the 2020 edition!
For obvious reasons the valuation of previous years releases keeps on climbing and the 2020 edition is already hitting the £380 mark at auctions.
