About This Competition
This unique bottling called Oishii Wisukii, which simply means “Delicious Whisky” in Japanese, is a much loved series bottled by the world famous Highlander Inn in Craigellachie. The very eye catching label design is by Japanese designer and artist Takeshi Abe, who also designed several labels for Hanyu/Ichiros malt ultra rare “Card series”.
This exceptional blend contains a high malt content from Edrington stock (Macallan, Glenrothes and Highland Park). Distilled in 1980 and matured for 43 years in ex-sherry butts before bottling. Only 544 bottles were produced. Non-chill filtered, naturally coloured and bottled at a natural cask strength of 46.9%
