About This Competition

If you’re a regular follower of online whisky auctions, then you would have undoubtedly come across the name Ernie Button alongside several Macallan limited edition releases. I’d never actually looked up who this person was, fully expecting it to be some contrived partnership that is synonymous with Macallan. Well, turns out this dude spent so much time staring down empty whisky glasses that he started photographing them…..with some stunning results…..the whole thing is batshit crazy in my opinion, but also pretty darn cool. You can learn more about it his whisky project here.

This is a special limited edition of  Macallan Gold featuring this whisky’s “fingerprint” on the box and a unique bottle stopper. The Gold was the first of 4 releases which made up the 1824 series and is a vatting of first and second refill sherry casks, both from American and European Oak casks.

Discontinued in 2018, this series was the precursor to the current Double Cask range. As with most things Macallan, these releases are relatively low risk  investments perfectly suited for those starting out building their collections.

There are 15 early bird bonus tickets up for grabs. Simply add a minimum of 2 Macallan tickets to your cart & use code BUTTON241 at checkout.
