About This Competition
“The last hours of a perfect autumn day when the world looks like a golden dream filled with cookie-coloured leaves and butterscotch skies… What would that taste like? The answer is, this dazzling, luminous whisky – a rhapsody of warm tones like purple heather, leaves swirling in the wind and hues of lemon, copper and gold.”
As is often the case with Glenmorangie expressions, one expects some strange source of inspiration. Given the season, its only apt that our next competition reflected the essence of Autumn, So here we have it – the Glenmorangie 18 yr old ‘Extremely Rare’. Once this whisky has spent fifteen years maturing in American white oak casks a proportion is transferred into Spanish Oloroso casks to spend a further three years maturing. Then, when both elements have reached 18 years, they are ‘married’ back together to create a whisky with a rich bouquet and full, rounded flavour.
Presented in a sturdy gift case and sitting pretty in its elegantly shaped bottle. What’s not to like eh?
