DRAMTIME: Springbank Handfill

Since neither of these bottles got picked by the Wee Toon comp winners last month, I thought they’d be great candidates for a Dramtime comp.

If you have not had a chance to try a demijohn handfill from Springbank distillery, then this one’s for you. Not only can you win a bottle of Springbank , but you can now sample a Longrow handfill. Some fans even  go as far as claiming that the handfill is better than most official Longrow bottlings! I have to say, this is not necessarily an unrealistic claim…..they do tend to be extremely tasty even though there is significant batch variation.

The Springbank handfill, is quite fantastic as well, and contains just enough of that ‘magic funk’ to make it a great addition to any whisky connoisseur’s  cabinet.  And of course, since these bottles can only be purchased at the distillery, it adds that wee bit of prestige when sharing with mates.
