About This Competition
When’s the last time you had a chance to try a 49 year old of…… anything really? Well, this might just be your lucky day! Since the last Armagnac competition (an 83 vintage) sold out, I figured at least a few of you might be interested in something even older. So here is a 1974 vintage Armagnac from Maison Castarede. Bottled just a few months ago in September, this eau de vie has been aged for a slow 49 years in Gascony oak casks. No doubt, this will be an excellent post turkey digestif at your Xmas dinner.
Established in 1832, Castarede is the oldest Armagnac producer in France. The Castarede family possesses one of the most important collections of vintages & have 6 generations of expertise behind them.
