About This Competition
Experience the exceptional and rare Ardbeg 23 Year Old Y2K Vintage, a whisky that embodies the dedication, heritage, and pioneering spirit of the Ardbeg Distillery. The millenium was a key date in the history of Ardbeg, as the distillery completed three years of renovation and began producing the smoky-sweet spirit we now know and love. This unique expression is created from some of the very first spirit of the new millennium, It’s also some of the last liquid made in the still that Ardbeg used for 51 years before retiring it in 2001.
The first bottling is this unique 23-year-old whisky, which has been matured in Oloroso and bourbon casks. Distilled in the year 2000, Vintage Y2K perfectly encapsulates the optimism and excitement surrounding Ardbeg in that momentous year. While no two Ardbeg are ever alike, the liquids from Vintage_Y2K is truly a smoky anomaly, a tale that will never come close to be. Bottled at 46% abv. RRP of £670
