Our latest winner’s choice competition features 2 Balvenie beauties . There’s an indie 36 year old blend that is 99.99% Balvenie & and the official 10 year old Founders Reserve from way back in the 80s.
The latest indy Balvenie to hit the shelves comes from our good pals over at Little Brown Dog. Distilled in 1989 & limited to 321 bottles, the lads have called it Burnadjacent to bypass all the silly industry naming rights.
For those who prefer something a bit more collectable, we have the old cognac bottle style 10 yr old from the 1980’s. I have had the pleasure of trying this some years back & it was a tremendous dram. Redolent of old leather on the nose, there was a nice balance of fruit & earthiness with an almost effervescent zing to it. Its the type of whisky they simply don’t make anymore.
