About This Competition

For Fèis Ìle 2026, Mac-Talla (by Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers) has released a limited edition Cognac cask-finished Islay single malt to mark the festival’s 40th anniversary. Bottled at 52.4% ABV, this special release is designed to celebrate the island’s culture.

The whisky began its maturation in first-fill Bourbon barrels before undergoing a further two years in Cognac casks. The resulting liquid combines coastal peat smoke with a fruit-forward influence from the Cognac cask finishing.

According to sources there are 1200 bottles worldwide & only 360 in UK.
