About This Competition

Win 2 delicious single cask bottles from Bruichladdich. These were available exclusively in-person from the distillery shop during my visit to Islay in August.

The first bottle is #80 in the ongoing “Valinch” series. These are casks specially chosen by staff members on a rotating basis. This time around its the turn of Warehouse Operator Colin Morris who has been a part of the distillery team since 2017. Distilled on the 12th of May 2014 then matured for 11 years in cask, #0706 previously holding sherry (2nd Fill). Bottled in 2025 at a cask strength of 57.5% abv. Only 372 bottles exist. 

The 2nd bottle is a rich & smoky Port Charlotte Valinch from cask #3534. Matured for 13 years in 1st fill bourbon cask & bottled at 56.1% abv. This is an excellent tropical fruit forward peated expression with notes of vanilla and caramel. If you like peated whisky – you will love this. If you like Port Charlotte-  this might be one of the best PC’s you’ll ever have. Only 322 bottles exist.
