About This Competition

Fragrant, sweet, slightly grassy and with a lick of oiliness, Glenburgie’s make is pretty much entirely ring-fenced for a very popular blend. Glenburgie’s sightings as a single malt are as infrequent as those of the Loch Ness monster, so I was super excited to snap this bottle up at a recent auction!

This one will particularly appeal to seasoned drinkers hunting down 8O’s distillates to enjoy , or to those collectors who prefer proper vintage statements rather than recent NAS silliness. This commemorative release was distilled in 1984 and matured in Cask No.1883 before being bottled on the 20th September 2001 in celebration of the life and career of Robbie McArthur, who worked at the Glenburgie Distillery between 1952 and 1985. Each bottle was signed & numbered by the man himself.
