For our very first FREE Rum draw we present Eminente Reserva – 7yr old. The freshest of newcomers onto the rum scene, Eminente is the latest addition to the Moët Hennessy portfolio. Yes, the very same owners of whisky distilleries Ardbeg & Glenmorangie. We had high expectations for this young chap, and delighted to say that he did not disappoint.
Made of molasses from 100% Cuban sugarcane and a total of 14 blending processes, the final blend is 70% aguardiente. Great, both as a sipper as well as in cocktails, this is an ideal starter rum for the uninitiated. Rum geeks wont like that Eminente does contain added sugar, but hey, you have plenty of other options available for that pastime. Sometimes a rum’n coke or trusty old fashioned is just as enjoyable 🙂
