About This Competition
To celebrate the 5 years of existence of Christian Drouin’s Expérimental range and the 10th edition, we had the great joy of
partnering with the most iconic brand of artisanal Scottish whiskey: Springbank.
Our relationship with Springbank is not new since the distillery had used our calvados barrels for the aging of some of their whiskeys
twenty years ago. The challenge of this new edition was to combine the apple with the peat notes of the Springbank barrels (10-12 ppm). For this, we
chose a very deep 19-year-old Pays d’Auge calvados. It was left for 5 months in 8 of these barrels for a limited edition of 2130 bottles.
There are a total of 22 instant wins in addition to the main prize. 20 samples of the Drouin SB Angels plus 2 bottles of artisanal French cidre which I picked up late summer but will likely remain unopened if they stay at M&C HQ …..best to share in such circumstances……
