About This Competition

These are desperate times for India – the worlds largest democracy.  The country is on the precipice of disaster. An inept government, years of disinvestment from public healthcare & a total absence of disaster planning has resulted in excess of 300,000 new daily COVID cases. Even scarier, is that these numbers are almost certainly an underestimate. We have learnt that this virus has no borders. It is only a matter of time that the double mutant variant will spread & stall the global recovery. It is imperative that the situation is brought under control, even though it may seem a world away from us here in the UK. India is also the ‘pharmacy of the world’. The majority of low & middle income countries  rely on the countries pharmaceutical industry for supply of all sorts of medicines & medical supplies. If those crucial supply chains collapse, there will be far-reaching consequences for the global south.

This is a special competition to support the relief effort. We are donating a bottle of the latest Ardbeg committee release -SCORCH

100% of proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to procure Oxygen concentrators and key medical equipment, Total donations shall be split between a GoFundMe campaign and the Covid Relief Fund set up by the ever reliable Khalsa Aid Foundation.
