I was surprised to find out that Blair Athol is the 4th most visited distillery in all of Scotland. It was thus inexcusable that I had yet to drop in despite driving past it many times. Thankfully, I managed to squeeze in a visit 30 mins before they shut during my last trip up North. Just enough time to bottle this exclusive handfill only available at the visitor centre.  Whilst Blair Athol is the main ingredient in a popular high street blend beginning with ‘B’ & synonymous with decanters, it is actually quite hard to find single malt expressions. The Flora & Fauna release is the only single malt Blair Athol you can purchase at retail, making this single cask handfill all that more special.
