About This Competition
The original 1991 launch of the Flora & Fauna series by United Distillers (now Diageo) included a premium wooden presentation box. These were very quickly phased out due to high production costs. United Distillers mothballed the distillery in 1993 before selling it to Raymond Armstrong. Bottle production for the Flora & Fauna range continued using existing aged stock. Diageo officially retired the Bladnoch expression from the active Flora & Fauna lineup in 2005.
This 10 year old expression comprising predominantly ex-bourbon with select sherry cask influence was bottled at 43% Renowned whisky critic Michael Jackson famously rated the Bladnoch expression the highest out of the original Flora & Fauna series releases.
