“The Spirit of the Underground” is an ongoing, highly collectible single malt whisky series created by London’s Bimber Distillery in an official collaboration with Transport for London (TfL)
Launched in 2021, the collection releases limited-edition whiskies in small batches (typically four stations per batch), with each individual bottling paying homage to a specific station on the London Underground network. Every expression is a single-cask bottling.
Wimbledon was chosen as a station in series 6 to celebrate the “summer of sport” in 2024. The TfL stations chosen for this release were gateways to 4 of the biggest sporting venues in London – Wimbledon, Wembley, Oval & Stratford. It was finished in a Vinjo de Naranja cask with an outurn of only 289 bottles.
