A 10 year old single cask release, distilled on the 3rd of February 2015 and bottled from a single 1st fill STR Barrique barrel at 61.8% vol. Outturn of only 265 bottles. The 1st release of double “pot still” distilled Penderyn Welsh single malt whisky by The Scotch Malt Whisky Society. Interestingly, SMWS have allocated 2 “distillery codes” to Penderyn, 128 and now 164. “128” releases are whiskies distilled in their Faraday stills which have been producing since 2000. “164” is single malt, Welsh whisky distilled in traditional Scottish “lantern” style copper pot stills installed in 2014.
