About This Competition

We are delighted to bring you our latest charity draw with all proceeds being donated to Sea Shepherd UK.  Help protect the world’s oceans and you could win a lovely bottle of gin. Perfect for those warm summer days.

Established in 1977, Sea Shepherd UK is a registered marine conservation charity whose primary mission is to end the destruction of habitats and illegal killing of wildlife around the UK’s coastline and across the world’s oceans in order to conserve and protect marine ecosystems and species. Their aim is to preserve ocean life through direct action campaigns, education and cooperation. You may have heard of them most recently featured in the Netflix documentary Seaspiracy – a definite must watch for everyone which will open your eyes to just how quickly we are destroying the planet’s oceans.

Sea Shepherd UK runs several initiatives such as the Ghost-Net campaign, Marine debris campaign and the Pilot Whale defense program. Funding is secured mainly from individual donors, companies, trusts, legacies and occasionally via fund-raising events. You can learn more about their previous work & present campaigns here. Important work that Malt & Cane is happy to support, and we hope you will too!

One lucky winner will take home a bottle of Thaifalutin – single cask Gin from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society generously donated by a member of the Malt Release Radar Slack forum. Only 268 bottles were produced. Aged in 2nd fill ex-bourbon barrels, the initial aroma exudes gentle spice, pink peppercorns, mint and lemon tea, sweet grapefruit and candy floss drizzled with condensed milk. An initially dry palate with notes of lemongrass and Thai chicken broth progresses into sweet Turkish delight, pear drops, lemon peel and elegant notes of hibiscus, grapefruit and coriander. With such hunger inducing tasting notes, we have no doubt this will make a smashing G&T or a Tom Collins.

Since this is a charity draw, there is no skill testing question and entrants are free to purchase as many tickets as they like. Since there is no limit on total ticket sales, we have turned the manual number picking option off. Your tickets will be assigned a random number and the winner will be picked randomly as per our usual process.

We really hope you can get behind our latest charity draw and help raise as much as we possibly can for Sea Shepherd. Please do feel free to share amongst your social circles.
