About This Competition
Indian single malt whisky brand Indri has launched its limited-edition Diwali Collector’s Edition 2025 Marsala Cask in the UK, with just 180 individually numbered bottles available. Produced in the village of Indri in Haryana, near the foothills of the Himalayas, the annual Diwali Collector’s Edition is crafted in small batches from indigenous six-row Indian barley.
The 2025 expression is matured in hand-selected Marsala wine casks sourced from Sicilian wineries. It is bottled at cask strength of 58.5% ABV. It was named Best World Whisky at the Las Vegas Global Spirits Awards 2025, scoring 99.1 points out of 100. The release also earned a Gold medal at The Design & Packaging Masters 2025 for its presentation.
Official tasting notes from the brand describe aromas of stewed apricot, cherries, plums and caramelized richness with vanilla and honey. The palate is full-bodied with rich red berries, vanilla, nutmeg, chocolate and walnuts with an earthy finish. The finish is long with fruity wine and hints of oak lactones.
