About This Competition

Twas a big year for the monarchy & its only fair that we feature the King’s own whisky in our annual round up. Introducing our special-edition ‘Highgrove Coronation Vatting’ Single Malt Whisky, made with Heritage Plumage Archer barley grown on the Highgrove Estate. Distilled, matured, and bottled exclusively by the Cotswolds Distillery, only 1000 bottles of this new release are available, aged in premium active ex-red wine and first-fill bourbon casks.

Experience the rich aroma of honey and butterscotch on the nose, with tannin-rich malt and Seville orange marmalade on the palate. The long and resinous finish is complemented by dark red fruits and a hint of treacle. This limited-edition whisky was filled in May 2017 and bottled in the Coronation Year of 2023.
