About This Competition
The Bunnahabhain 17-Year-Old “Westering Home” was released exclusively for the Fèis Ìle 2014 (Islay Festival). It is celebrated for its unique dual-maturation process and its status as a rare collector’s item.
- Age: 17 Years Old.
- Vintage: Distilled in November 1996; bottled on 23 December 2013.
- Cask Type: Initially matured in ex-Cognac casks (October 2007) and finished in Sauternes dessert wine casks (from December 2013).
- Strength: Bottled at cask strength, 53.4% ABV.
- Outturn: Extremely limited release of only 301 bottles.
- Original Price: Sold at the distillery for approximately £250 during the festival
