About This Competition
Staying on our theme of firsts, we have for you the first 2021 release from the Ardnamurchan distillery and only their 2nd official release. Drawn from a combination of ex-bourbon casks (65%) and sherry casks (35%). Interestingly, the spirit is also split 50/50 between unpeated and peated, which adds a wonderful dimension to the finished whisky. AD/01.21:01 offers up notes of nutmeg and toffee apple with Manuka honey and nougat followed by grapefruit marmalade, sweet soy sauce, ripe pear and orange peel.
Only 14,476 bottles of the 2nd release were produced. Whilst not quite as limited in numbers, this would be a worthy addition to collectors just starting out in the world of whisky investing.
