Exclusively bottled for The Single Malt Shop this Highland Park 18 year old single cask has been chosen from the most exceptional Highland Park casks available by master whisky maker Gordon Motion. Distilled in 2002, it was matured in a single refill sherry butt (cask no 90001) and bottled in 2021.
As expected this is a rich, full-bodied dram. Dry on the tongue with those chocolatey, cinnamon, spicy characteristics ever present. Toasted oak then takes over but the chocolate flavours shine through. The smoky, floral peat flavours emerge in the finish leaving a delicious taste that lingers in the mouth.
